Sorry Tony and Alisa if you read this I’m going to pick on you a little. This episode is about as hilarious as it gets. You can tell these 2 know very little about firearms. With that said try hard not to laugh at the terminology (BTW guys, it’s range BOSS) and listen to the parallels they draw to marriage. It just might do you some good.

Take this also as a nudge to get out there with your spouse and shoot! You can’t really call yourself preppers if you are the only one who knows how to use your firearms. If you’re down the rest of the family is vulnerable. I can only imagine these two guys dealing with a home invasion. No guns in the house to begin with, heck they live in California where guns are all but outlawed but just the utter fear that Alisa has toward that harmless piece of steel shows what living in that state does to you. I could never live in such a restrictive state. I’d rather live where I do where it’s already been 20° at night. Ya Tony and Alisa that’s a friendly jab to you guys too lol. Seriously though, gun homicides are way down though the public perceives them as way up due to our state controlled leftist media pushing the presidential puppets gun control (read, confiscation) agenda.

Full disclosure here, I’ve listened to these guys for a couple years on and off. I actually stopped listening a while back because I was so frustrated in my own marriage it was hard to listen to them. However, I smartened up eventually and got caught back up on their podcast. Not that my marriage is perfect, very far from it, but I’m trying and that’s what counts I guess.

Either way, as funny as this podcast was to listen to (almost too funny for 4am) it really hit home. My wife grew up in a family where her dad had a couple dozen firearms but never taught her anything about them because he was to busy working his butt off to pay the bills. So, she had as much knowledge about guns as Alisa. I grew up in a home where my dad worked at a gun factory but only had 1 and we only shot it once. I concurrently taught myself gun safety and ended up eventually teaching my wife and kids.

Now, my wife and 6 & 8 year old sons could shoot any weapon in the house if needed (and access was granted them… For all you people gasping, my kids don’t have access to any firearm without my or my wife’s express permission and unlocking, and they are highly supervised when they do shoot)

What I’m trying to get at its this. If I’m down, they are my backup.

Now on the topic of marriage… shoot together, stay together. What better deterrent to cheating than knowing your spouse can shoot? I’m joking, yet I’m not. Alisa, some advice. Shoot some more and eventually teach your daughter because as the old saying goes “a restraining order is just a piece of paper”. We all hope it never has to go that far but this is reality we live in. It’s better to have a gun and not need it than it is to need a gun and not have it. A pistol is the ultimate “rape whistle”…

There’s so much more I want to say but I’ve got to get to work.
